NTLM is a very old protocol.

On AD's its been surpassed by Kerberos.

Upgrade your version to at least 10.35 and disable NTLM.

Be done with CRAM-MD5.

If you run Mailenable as ISP and dont have the local AD connected then outlook doesnt work when users change their password.

Thats why I dont get the behaviour. I even whitelisted the new mailserver on SMTP properties.

I think it is SM pricing that made me move, charging an annual fee for their addons and MAPI. SM is very overpriced would cost me over $1500 a year to get the features I would need. And no, in this case I don't think you get what you pay for.

We run it on a windows server and there is a huge amount of antispam options.

Only thing I miss is the granular logging and insigt into specific mail SMTP logs via Track message.

I had issues with SM support. Too long ago to remember the issue, but they refused to fix it and was rather condescending, if I remember, as well. I think I bought my first Mailenable license around 10 yrs ago. So its been a hard decision.

Under add-ins open com add in and set the mark in Openprotocols plugin.

Press ok and restart outlook

Enable it under trust center in outlook

Get them to look at it via a teamviewer.

Much easier.
